Furoshiki workshop

Gift wrapping doesn’t come more beautiful than traditional Japanese furoshiki wrapping.  Here is a chance to learn about the multi-use, environmentally-conscious and appealing fabrics of furoshiki and the special ways of folding and tying that characterise this traditional art.  This Christmas, you can give gifts that will be appreciated as much for their wrapping as their contents and know that you aren’t adding to a mountain of wasted paper wrapping.

As well as introducing you to the history and fabrics of furoshiki, the workshop will show you several different wrapping styles and some everyday, practical ways of using furoshiki after the festive season.  For only £5, you can join our hour-long, hands-on workshop, and take away a lovely, free furoshiki wrap at the end. After the workshop, there will also be an opportunity to buy additional furoshikis.
