Artwave – Black & White

As part of Artwave Festival (2 - 17 September 2023) Depot will be holding an open exhibition of art created by the public in the Studio.

The theme of this year's open exhibition at Depot is Black & White. We are inviting artists of all ages and experience to submit works of art inspired by the theme 'Black & White'. The monochrome palette has been used by many artists for centuries. From charcoal, pen and pencil drawings to photography to sculpture. We encourage you to explore the depths of black & white, diving into shadows and lines and the beauty of the world without colour. All styles and mediums are welcome; You can be an experienced artist of someone who is only just finding their creative side.

Submission details:

• Maximum 3 works per entry
• Entries must be submitted by 10:00 a.m on 21 August
• Artworks will be selected by a committee at Depot, successful applicants will be notified on 23 August and all artworks must be delivered by 22:00 on 27 August.
• All artworks must be mounted with picture string at the back – if artworks are not properly mounted we will not be able to exhibit the work.

Depot reserves the right to cancel the exhibition at any time.
