77mins   1986   UK   12A   English

This event is led by Depot's Kino Club to mark Climate Action Day.

Britain on Film: Protest! is a collection of short films that explores the varied and fascinating history of public protest in the UK. From a 1910 suffragette demonstration to CND protesters this fascinating and diverse collection is sourced from the national and regional archives. Celebrate and learn from the history of dissent at a time when young people in particular are standing up for their rights and beliefs.

Followed by a Q&A hosted by Kino Club's Lola Arrling and featuring: Lewes Town Councillor (and former Greenham Common protestor) Imogen Makepeace; Natalia Whiteside from Extinction Rebellion; and Depot green ambassador Natasha Padbury.
