Two week course,
21 February: 18:30 - 20:30
28 February: 19:00 - 21:00

Following her popular Autumn Lecture on French Cinema, Martine is back with a short, two week, course on the influential French New Wave movement.

Covering its origins and its pioneering filmmakers (incl. Chabrol, Godard, Truffaut, Varda...), Martine will take a closer look at the films produced during the period. Expect interactive sessions with plenty of film clip analysis and group discussion.

Dr Martine Pierquin has taught film studies, and French cinema in particular, for many years. She has contributed to a variety of events and festivals, such as the Edinburgh International Film Festival, The Chichester Film Festival and the UK’s French Film Festival, for which she is also a short film curator.
