In director Bruno Dumont's second film chronicling the early life of historical heroine Jeanne d'Arc, we follow the young legend, played by the extraordinary 10 year old Lise Leplat Prudhomme, from her battles against the British in 1429, to her capture and trial on charges of heresy only two years later - believing that God has chosen her for a holy mission.

Adapted once again from the early 20th century theatrical works of French writer and poet Charles Peguy, the film is peppered with lip-synched musical numbers composed by French rocker Christophe.
