Zoetropes are the earliest form of motion pictures. During this workshop you will discover the history of this pre-animation technology and how it fits into the wider history of the illusion of motion and the development of cinema - led by Peter Cole, Sam Le Prevost and Lucy Williams.
By the end of the workshop, you will have made your own hand-held zoetrope cylinder, as well as your own zoetrope strips which you can view through the devices made during the workshop!
