Plastic Free Lewes Pledge Launch with Q&A

Be part of the launch of the Plastic Free Lewes Pledge with a special screening of this award-winning 2012 documentary.

Trashed follows actor Jeremy Irons as he explores the scale and impact of consumerism and man-made pollution around the world – looking at the realities and repercussions of how we deal with what we throw away, from landfill to incineration to sea-dumping.

The film is a call for urgent action to drastically reduce our consumption towards sustainable levels, including ‘zero waste’ – demonstrating how this is starting to be achieved in communities around the world.

'Crucial viewing' - Joe Neumaier, New York Daily News

The evening includes a Q&A with the film's writer/director/co-producer Candida Brady and co-founder of Freegle UK Cat Fletcher.

The programme also includes the first screening of the Plastic Free Lewes Pledge film, featuring familiar faces and businesses across Lewes pledging to cut down on single-use plastic.
