This short film chronicles Long Live Southbank's campaign to save the beloved home of British skateboarding from redevelopment. The film explores the efforts made by grassroots organisations to challenge the powers that be. The director Winstan Whitter will introduce the film and talk about the campaign and his other work documenting marginalised subcultures under threat from gentrification.
The screening is FREE and takes place in Depot's studio. There is an accompanying free two day skate filmmaking workshop (booking required) and a free screening of Whitter's feature length documentary, Rollin' Through the Decades.
