Depot has won in two categories at the Lewes District Business Awards 2018,
Depot Cinema, Kitchen and Bar was crowned Tourist Destination of the Year, sponsored by Uniglobe. There was also recognition for the cinema’s director and programmer, Carmen Slijpen, who received the Business Person of the Year award, sponsored by Viva Magazines.
The prestigious awards celebrate success, excellence and innovation in the business community across Lewes, Seaford and surrounding areas. Members of the Depot team attended the ceremony, held at the Amex Community Stadium.
Carmen said: “I would like to thank everyone who has supported us through our first year. The community has really embraced Depot and taken us to its heart. Lewes has so much to offer the visitor, and so to have achieved recognition as the district’s tourist destination of the year in such a short space of time is testament to the talents and hard work of our fantastic team.”
Depot was also shortlisted in the Green Business category.
