Whether you're a complete beginner or have written before, Julie will help guide you through the key skills needed to write and develop your own short screenplay. The course combines fun practical writing exercises with lively discussions around example scripts and is led by professional script writer and script editor, Julie Everton.

Course content includes:

Where might we get ideas for screen? What is a premise? Visual storytelling - the short film. Characterisation. Stories plots and narratives. Screen dialogue and scene writing. Developing an outline & writing your first draft. Pitching, plus next steps.

Julie has written for TV, films, theatre and radio. She has taught screenwriting for 20 years and is a Senior Lecturer at University of Brighton.
