Everybody Friendly Screenings

Everybody Friendly Screenings

Depot hosts a series of specially curated relaxed screenings

Depot’s Everybody Friendly Screenings are a relaxed, subtitled movie experience in our spacious and accessible cinema, especially suitable for those with additional needs, including people living with autism, dementia, the hard of hearing and older audiences. Carers, families and supporters are welcome too, and refreshments are provided.

How are everybody friendly screenings different?

The auditorium lights are on a half setting throughout the film and the sound is slightly quieter. There is a relaxed attitude to noise and audience members are free to move around and come and go. There is a quiet area outside the screen for anyone who needs a break. Depot staff and volunteers are on hand.

Film is an immersive experience which can promote activity and stimulation of the mind, be an important tool for reminiscence and relaxation.

You’ll be welcomed with tea, coffee, and biscuits in the screen before the film!

If you have any queries, questions or concerns about visiting us at Depot for one of our everybody friendly screenings, please don’t hesitate to get in contact with Liz, our fantastic host for these events, at [email protected]
