As part of the 2026 Artwave Festival (5 – 20 September), Depot hosts an open exhibition of art created by the public in the Studio. The theme of this year’s open exhibition at Depot is Dots & Dashes.
Dots & dashes appear in the world around us in many different forms, often totally unrecognised. See them in the fonts and texts that surround us, in the natural forms of nature, and in the structures of the man-made.
Please be aware that this year we will have limited opening times for the exhibition at weekends: 5 & 6 September and 13 September, 10:00–17:00; 19 & 20 September, 14:00–18:00.
Kusama: Infinity

Explore Yayoi Kusama’s fierce determination to become a world-renowned artist. Kusama was born into a conservative family in rural Japan and she made her way to America on the heels of WWII. There, without connections and speaking only broken English, she devoted herself to her one true love, making art.
