This short documentary follows a team of medical professionals from the charity Doctors for Nepal, as they travel to the remote Karnali district in western Nepal to deliver a women's health camp. It is the first ever camp of its kind to be run by the charity, bringing together Nepalese doctors and nurses, all of whom are Doctors For Nepal scholarship holders, alongside Lewes local and the charity's founder Dr Kate Yarrow, and her NHS colleague Dr Rasana Bajracharya.
Together the team delivers vital healthcare to patients in one of the most remote and inaccessible regions of the Himalayas. The film explores the challenges that women face in their reproductive lives; in particular how these are impacted by living conditions, lack of education, and longstanding cultural beliefs.
