When a tornado rips through Kansas, Dorothy and her dog, Toto, are whisked away in their house to the magical land of Oz.
They follow the Yellow Brick Road toward the Emerald City to meet the Wizard, and en route they meet a Scarecrow that needs a brain, a Tin Man missing a heart, and a Cowardly Lion who wants courage.
But I'm a Cheerleader
13:15 Saturday 5 April
Cert 15
Introduced by Kino Collective member Clara.
This whimsically edgy comedy, directed by Jamie Babbit, follows teenager Megan, whose suburban existence filled with friends, cheerleading, and all-American fun is upended when her strait-laced parents suspect she may be a lesbian.
In a panic, they send her to True Directions, a “rehabilitation” camp run by the strict and prudish Mary, to mount an intervention led by counselor Mike.
Megan dutifully follows the program, until she develops feelings for another camper in this timeless, satirical romantic-comedy about self-acceptance and love.

A frustrated housewife, Francine Fishpaw, tries to maintain her sanity while taking care of her dysfunctional household.
Elmer, her husband and the owner of an adult theatre, is sleeping with his secretary, and her delinquent teen son, Dexter, and pregnant teen daughter, Lulu, aren’t helping matters any.
But when Francine meets dashing Todd Tomorrow, the owner of a theatre specialising in art films, her life appears rosier.
Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me

Introduced by local filmmaker Robert Dee.
In the questionable town of Deer Meadow, Washington, FBI Agent Desmond inexplicably disappears while hunting for the man who murdered a teen girl.
The killer is never apprehended, and, after experiencing dark visions and supernatural encounters, Agent Dale Cooper chillingly predicts that the culprit will claim another life.
Meanwhile, in the more cozy town of Twin Peaks, hedonistic beauty Laura Palmer hangs with lowlifes and seems destined for a grisly fate.
