Depot’s beer festival celebrating talented local brewers returns for 2026
Join us from 12pm on Saturday 12 September as we celebrate the immense talent of local Sussex breweries at our second annual BeerFest.
We’ve invited four of our favourite craft breweries to take over our garden and terrace for the day. Burning Sky, Only With Love, UnBarred and Hand Brew Co will all be bringing a fantastic selection of their biggest, boldest and best beers.
Whether you’re already a fan of these breweries or just starting off on your locally brewed journey, you’ll be treated to a fantastic variety of beers to try.
It wouldn’t be much of a festival if we didn’t have some music to keep you entertained throughout the day. This year, we welcome Django Chutney onto our terrace for the afternoon, bringing their blend of hot and swingin’ gypsy jazz, vocal harmonies and more slap bass than you can shake a stick at. To keep the party rhythm going well into the evening, Brighton-based Tamanduá will be leading the way and bringing the biggest, boldest samba sounds straight from the streets of Brazil.
There’ll be a range of beer snacks and street food on offer, whipped up by our own kitchen – perfect to accompany an afternoon and evening of beer sampling.
With sustainability in mind, we will be using reusable plastic “Lewes Cups” for a deposit of 50p. Or you can bring your own glass or cup; as long as it has a legal measure marked on it, we will fill it!
BeerFest will be spread out over our terrace and garden space and entry is free, so head on down and settle in for a hearty session!

Django Chutney

Hot and swingin gypsy jazz. A guitar virtuosity, 3 part vocal harmonies, an unnecessary amount of slap bass solos and the sweet music of Django Reinhardt (and Slayer). What more could you want?
Tamanduá
From 18:00 – 21:00
Making their Depot debut, Brighton-based Tamanduá will be bringing the biggest, boldest samba sounds from the streets of Brazil straight to our terrace.
