This one day course will introduce you to the basic functions of a DSLR camera alongside creatively exploring techniques to recreate the visual style of your favourite film or director.
Kate Swanson, a photographer and lecturer, will guide you through the day. She has worked as an A-Level lecturer and alongside teaching bespoke photography courses she also works as a product photographer in the South East. Kate will give you the knowledge to creatively explore your camera alongside delving into some of the techniques seen in many films. During the day we will explore the three main pillars; Aperture, Shutter Speed and ISO allowing you to create stills using techniques such as shallow depth of field, High ISO (grainy) and slow shutter speed.
This course if for those of you who would like to gain confidence with using your own DLSR camera in a creative way. Please bring your camera along and some images from films you love.
The workshop is on March 23 from 10:00 to 16:00 and costs £40. Places are very limited to ensure you get lots of one to one guidance.
