Ingrid, a best-selling writer, rekindles her relationship with her friend Martha, a war journalist with whom she has lost touch for a number of years.
The two women immerse themselves in their pasts, sharing memories, anecdotes, art, movies. However, Martha now has cancer, and makes a request of Ingrid that will test their newly strengthened bond.

Janet Michaelis: Janet is a medic who works in West Sussex. She has an interest in this debate at both a professional and personal level.
