Wine Tasting: Wines from Along the Danube

The Danube and its tributaries passes through ten countries on the way from its source in Germany to its mouth in Romania and Ukraine, where it flows into the Black Sea.

Along the banks of the river are some of the world's most innovative and exciting wine regions. Including stunning natural wines from the Wachau and Wagram regions in Austria, the distinctive and unusual wines of the Tokaj region in Hungary, as well as hidden gems from the lesser known varietals of Slovakia, Croatia, Serbia, Bulgaria and Moldova.

Peter Stewart is a local wine enthusiast who was born near Vienna, and whose grandfather made wine barrels for the local wine merchants. In Wines from Along the Danube, Peter will offer a selection of white, orange and red wines in different styles from various countries located along the legendary river.
