At Depot it’s week three of Sunday Brunch, with musical accompaniment, where people have been flocking to Pinwell Road at 11am with their Sunday papers, assorted friends and family members and taking in the relaxed atmosphere, locally sourced menu and talented visiting musicians.

This weekend the music comes courtesy of Imogen Ryall (voice) and Roderick Hart (piano). Imogen is an alumni of the renowned Guildhall School of Music & Drama and has performed with many of the country’s finest jazz artists. Her repertoire incorporates a number of ‘vocalese’ compositions and she has written lyrics to standard tunes and instrumental solos including Charlie Haden’s ‘Waltz for Ruth’ and Charlie Parker’s ‘My Little Suede Shoes’.

Roderick Hart started his musical path with classical lessons but when he heard jazz later on he realised where his passion lay. He built a repertoire playing solo piano. There was some work with bands and he played with visiting soloists at jazz gigs. He joined Elaine Delmar’s trio and started accompanying singers and recording dates which helped him develop his other passion for sound recording and studio production.
