As part of this years’ flower themed Artwave at Depot, we have collaborated with Emma Carlow, who has designed a joyous pop-up flower toy that you can make yourself!
We are inviting you to get creative and make your own toy by either coming along to a workshop (details below), downloading the instructions or picking up a ‘how to’ sheet from Depot during Artwave.
Emma Carlow is an artist, designer and maker who creates things that inspire people to be an immersive part of their creation by having a go at home.
“I truly believe that making things is fundamental to learning, independence, self expression, self confidence and imagination. I want to design products that invite people to have a go at home.”
Her inspiration is drawn from global museum and vintage toy collections as well as mid century design.
We hope that you will be inspired to make a Pop Up Flower!
Take a photo of your toy for a chance to win a prize!
Once you have made your flower toy, you can enter our competition by sharing a photo of it on Instagram, following both @emmacarlow and @lewes_depot and tag us into your post. One person will be randomly selected to win a pair of Depot cinema tickets and an Emma Carlow ‘Shop Local’ bag.
