Artwave – Dots & Dashes

This is the receipt of your £10 artwork entry to this exhibition.

As part of the 2026 Artwave festival (5th - 20th Sept) Depot will be holding an open exhibition of art created by the public in the Studio.

The theme of this year's open exhibition at Depot is Dots & Dashes. We are inviting artists of all ages and experience to submit works of art inspired by this theme. Dots & dashes appear in the world around us in many different forms, often totally unrecognized. We welcome you to seek them out and be inspired by their unassuming presence. See them in the fonts and texts that surround us, in the natural forms of nature, the structures of the manmade. Can you find inspiration in their shapes and forms to create an artwork? All styles and mediums are welcome; You can be an experienced artist or someone who is only just finding your creative side.

Each ticket includes the submission of up to 3 works

Entries must be submitted by 10 am 24th August

Artworks will be selected by a committee at Depot, successful applicants will be notified on 26th August and all artworks must be delivered by 10 pm on 30th August.

All artworks must be mounted with picture string at the back.
If artworks are not properly mounted we will not be able to exhibit the work.

Application's age (this will not be included in the catalogue)
Town of residence
Artwork's medium
Dimension of artwork
Contact details if you want these included in the catalogue
Short bio - max 75 words

Artwork will not be on sale at the exhibition but if the work is available for sale please let us know and we will include this information in the catalogue with the price.

Depot reserves the right to cancel the exhibition at any time.
