Sex, Swing Dancing and Social Class – the subversive nature of the screwball comedy.
A series of three films accompanied by interactive and engaging lectures with plenty of opportunity to discuss key sequences from this magical moment of cinematic history. The course will be led by Faye Pirate a lecturer in Media from Sussex Downs Lewes College.
The course will run on Thursday evenings from May 10 at 19:30 in the Studio and each week will include a feature length film from the period screened in screen 3. The featured films will be His Girl Friday, Top Hat and It Happened One Night. The films and lectures can also be booked individually.
The cost of the three week course is just £40.
