Join us after the talk for our first KnitFlicks screening - The Ballad of Wallis Island (must be booked separately from knitting talk)
Please note: this is not a ‘learn to knit’ workshop, but an expert led talk with discussion time
A talk led by Jayne Coleman of Ida’s House and expert Knitwear Designer Gerry Warner, who will lead an informal discussion on how to ‘knit the perfect fit’.
They will be demystifying positive ease, demonstrating the difference between the size of the wearer and the size of a finished sweater, to get your preferred fit and the perils of the wrong gauge on the finished size of your garment!
The result? - is elevating your knits from Homemade to Hand Made.
There will be lots if samples of garments to try and measure, we embrace questions from the group!
Tickets for this workshop are free, but must be booked in advance. Workshop runs from 14:00 - 14:40, leaving time to chat and exchange ideas until the start of our first 'KnitFlick'.
