A week of specialised workshops run by Jay Amin, a Media teacher from Bede’s.
The sessions are aimed at helping young people aged 14-19, who take GCSE and A-Level Media Studies, to gain skills that will help with their coursework. The week includes sessions on advertising, making music videos and creating short films. By learning some key conventions and practical skills, participants will then be able to apply them by going through a full process of pre-production, shooting and post-production. The course will finish with a screening in the cinema. These workshops are about having fun and learning new skills with the bonus of being able to link it to school work.
The sessions are on April 8 – 12, from 10:00 to 16:00. The full cost is £200.
