Guest Bios:

Dorothy Max Prior is a writer and artist – London born and bred but currently living in Brighton. As an artist she works in performance, spoken word and sound installation. She is editor of Total Theatre Magazine, and writes for and edits other arts publications. In other lives, Max was a punk muse, post-punk drummer (with Rema Rema and Psychic TV, amongst others) and exotic dancer. Somewhere along the way, she has taught ballroom dancing, and toured the world as a cabaret dancer, street theatre performer, choreographer and director. All of these events are documented in Max’s two memoirs. 69 Exhibition Road, published by Strange Attractor in 2022,;and-Sex Is No Emergency, published 2025.

Maddie Lock (they/them) is the Regional Outreach Coordinator (South) for Doc'n Roll films, supporting with the release of S/HE IS STILL HER/E. Born in Eastbourne and based in Brighton, Maddie is an award-winning filmmaker and programmer. They've been funded by BFI, Screenskills and BAFTA, and their films have screen nationally and internationally including at BIFA-Qualifying festivals.
