Tampopo

Celebrating 25 years of Cinema of the Mind and in memory of Andra Sabbadini, Chair of the European Psychoanalytic Film Festival, Depot is pleased to screen Tampopo. Peter Evans, Emeritus Professor of Film Studies, Queen Mary University of London will introduce the film, and join the post-screening discussion with COM team Jenny Leeburn and Jake Harvey.

In this humorous paean to the joys of food, a pair of truck drivers happen onto a decrepit roadside shop selling ramen noodles.

The widowed owner, Tampopo, begs them to help her turn her establishment into a paragon of the "art of noodle-soup making".

Interspersed are satirical vignettes about the importance of food to different aspects of human life.
