Jon Dear is a writer on film and archive television. He has worked on physical media releases for the BFI, 88 Films, Hammer, 101 Films and Vinegar Syndrome, and has written for Radio Times, Best of British, Fortean Times, Curious British Telly and Horrified magazine. In 2023, Jon produced the 70th anniversary reading of The Quatermass Experiment at Alexandra Palace, and last year produced a documentary on The Stone Tape. He also arranged the Nigel Kneale Centenary events in 2022. He co-hosts podcasts on Nigel Kneale and gialli, and is currently writing a book on the BBC's Ghost Stories for Christmas series.
