World Cinema for Families

15 – 16 February 2025

Films from around the world to inspire creativity and exploration

Supported with grant funding from Lewes Town Council

Films can show us new worlds, taking us on journeys to wondrous places, both real and imagined. At Depot we believe in the power of cinema to inspire younger audiences, to broaden their horizons and allow them to experience new perspectives.

Join us in February half term for more adventures! We’ll be bringing you a toddler screening, Lotte Reiniger shorts and a preview of new movie Flow.

Chicken for Linda! Workshop

Sunday 16 February
13:00 – 13:45

Ages 6-12
£3.00 per child

In this film each character has their own colour. What do colours mean to us? Which colour would you choose to represent yourself?

We’ll invite your children to choose a colour and design and sketch their own character. Once they have finished, their character joins Linda and her gang of friends in a specially designed background setting around the big tree.

A time-lapse is used to show the action as the playground gradually fills with kids, pets, and of course… chickens!
