Rascals Film Festival
World Cinema for Families
25 & 26 May 2024
Films from around the world to inspire creativity and exploration
Films can show us new worlds, taking us on journeys to wonderous places, both real and imagined. At Depot we believe in the power of cinema to inspire younger audiences, to broaden their horizons and allow them to experience new perspectives.
For our very first Rascals Film Festival, we’re offering young audiences a chance to see international films from across the globe, including new releases Titina, a beautiful, hand-drawn Norwegian-Belgian animation, and Oink, a hugely original Dutch stop-motion film about a young girl and her piglet. We’re also bringing you the wonderful Irish animation Wolfwalkers, with a wolf mask making and colouring session run by film writer, curator, and podcast host Michael Leader (Ghibliotheque) after the film in our Studio.
Films & events in this season
Before our screening of the fantastic Oink, join us for a fun-filled morning of crafting animals! We’ll be using all kinds of recycled materials to create animals to add to our Depot farmyard, and creating a stop-motion animation with all the animals you’ve created!
