Halas & Batchelor Animation at Depot
On Sunday afternoons from 20 May, Depot presents a season of classic British animation from Halas & Batchelor: An animation legacy (20 May), Experiment and music (27 May) and Animal Farm (3 June).

Each screening is introduced by Vivien Halas, who lives in Lewes and who has looked after the films since the mid-90s. For the first screening, Vivien will be in conversation with Jez Stewart, curator at the BFI, National Film Archive, responsible for the animation collection.

The season is accompanied by a special exhibition in our Studio. An exhibition reception and book signing will take place following the screening of An Animation Legacy on 20 May, where refreshments (tea and home made biscuits) will be served.
