Want to bring students to the cinema? Get in touch as we welcome school, college, university and community groups, large and small. If you see a screening you fancy on our calendar, simply get in touch to arrange or reserve seats. We can also, in most circumstances, offer early morning screenings of a current release. And if you can’t see a film on our website that you have heard about, again, get in touch.
We can help streamline your admin by offering a number of ways to make a reservation, and can even offer complimentary tickets for accompanying staff. We also offer private screenings, of a film of your choice, at discounted education rates.
Perhaps you’d like to showcase your student’s own productions on the big screen or run a creative, practical film project yourself but aren’t sure where to start? We can help, bespoke to your needs.

Study Days for schools, colleges & universities
Led by a team of expert lecturers and professionals, our study days include a film screening (in our luxurious screen 1), supported with lectures and Q&As designed to support a range of BTEC / A-Level film and media students.
Days start at 10:00 and finish around 15:00.
Tickets cost £10 per student, accompanying staff are free.
Previously we’ve had: I Am A Killer (with production team), Get Out + TAPE Collective shorts, Black Panther and Vertigo days. And most recently, in association with the BFI, Production Isn’t Everything Careers Day & Future Film Festival: South East Edition.

This event is aimed at film and media students, from GCSE to university level, interested in finding out more about opportunities working in the film industry outside of traditional production roles.
Last year’s career’s day (Production Isn’t Everything) included speakers from film distribution, marketing and programming.

Varndean Sixth Form College Film Showcase 2026 Edition
Wednesday 25 March

Join Varndean Sixth Form College once again for an evening of hand-picked film production work – powerful, personal and inventive shorts made right here in Sussex. A chance to see what young filmmakers can achieve with vision, skill and a camera; and celebrate the incredible effort that’s gone into these projects.
Students, families and film lovers from outside Varndean Sixth Form College are also invited to come along – especially young people currently studying (or about to start) GCSEs who are curious about what filmmaking looks like at the next level.

The next round of free screenings is in March.
There will always be a film suitable for every age group; from primary school to college, and we always offer an Autism Friendly screening of one of the films.
To book your students or family into a free screening visit the INTO FILM website. Bookings are taken via INTO FILM not Depot so you won’t find these films on our main website or listings. Most screenings start from 10:30. Bookings are open to all schools, colleges and home educators, see INTO Film’s FAQs for more details.

Historical drama that imagines the relationship between William Shakespeare and his wife Agnes, who must confront a terrible family tragedy.
20 March: Babe [U] 10:15 Autism Friendly Screening, 10:30, regular screening
A piglet with a heart of gold decides he wants to become a sheep herder but is met with resistance from the other animals on the farm.
