Between Two Worlds: David Lynch
April 2025
Depot pays tribute to one of the most singular and influential filmmakers in American cinema history, who passed away this January.
Experience films by the incomparable director, including his seminal, surrealist first feature Eraserhead; the suburban nightmare of Blue Velvet; his Hollywood opus Mulholland Drive, introduced by Depot Chair of Trustees, Robert Senior, and followed by a free Cinema’s of the Mind discussion in our studio; and his warmhearted road movie The Straight Story.
Plus, Depot’s young programmers KINO Collective present a special screening of Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me, the cult prequel to Lynch’s lauded television series.

Part of KINO Fest 2025: Wyrd Girl
In the questionable town of Deer Meadow, Washington, FBI Agent Desmond inexplicably disappears while hunting for the man who murdered a teen girl.
The killer is never apprehended, and, after experiencing dark visions and supernatural encounters, Agent Dale Cooper chillingly predicts that the culprit will claim another life.
Meanwhile, in the more cozy town of Twin Peaks, hedonistic beauty Laura Palmer hangs with lowlifes and seems destined for a grisly fate.
‘In its own singular, deeply strange way, Fire Walk With Me is David Lynch’s masterpiece’ – Calum Marsh, Village Voice
