Are you the parent of the next Greta Gerwig or Wes Anderson? This workshop covers everything you need to know to make simple short films using a phone or tablet*. Over two days children will learn some basic film language; framing shots, editing a scene, and then have a go at making their very own short films. As filmmaking is a collaborative art form children will be expected to work together in small groups.

The course is led by Anthony Gates who, as well as being Depot's Education Manager, has had  years of experience teaching film and filmmaking to children and teenagers.

*If your child does not have access to a smartphone or tablet, that you are happy for them to use, don’t worry, we have a couple of devices available for our workshops.
