The best Saturday night out in Lewes is back for the summer! Dalliance is Depot’s weekly live music & street food extravaganza, which has been bringing those summer festival vibes to Lewes since 2021!

We strive to bring you the best screenings from The Royal Ballet & Opera, the National Theatre and a range of other live art events throughout the year.

Otherfield Documentaries

Wednesday 18 March – Thursday 30 July

Three insightful films from the most exciting voices in contemporary documentary filmmaking, all introduced by documentarian Jerry Rothwell. Screened in collaboration with Otherfield Film Festival.

Board Game Night

Thursday 30 April

These monthly meet-ups in the Depot Studio will provide a welcoming space for adults of all experience levels to connect, compete, and unwind over some great games.

No booking is required, and entry is free! Young people aged under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Gothic Season

Power To The People: John & Yoko Live in NYC

The 2026 multiscreen concert film of two massive live shows by John Lennon & Yoko Ono at Madison Square Garden, New York City on 30 August 1972, newly restored, re-edited and remixed by the Lennons’ award winning team.

As part of this year’s Winelands Festival in Lewes, enjoy a special one-off screening of Sour Grapes at Depot cinema, accompanied by a post-film wine tasting in the auditorium and an afterparty in the Depot garden.

Antonioni Season

Depot screens three iconic English language films from the Italian master filmmaker: Blow-Up; Zabriskie Point; and The Passenger. Featuring an introduction to the season from Depot’s Chair of Trustees, Robert Senior.

Includes a post-film Q&A with David Bramwell

The story of a mysterious inheritance, seances, psychedelics and Brighton’s 1990s alt-cabaret scene is woven together with inimitable charm, writer David Bramwell recalls his UK odyssey to find the origins of the moustache inherited from Great Aunt Sylia.

Women Over 50 Film Festival 2026

Women Over 50 Film Festival (WOFFF) champions and showcases the work of older women on screen and behind the camera with an annual short film festival and year-round events and film screenings, and we’re delighted to be hosting their 2026 festival right here at Depot.

Homegrown

Join us at Depot once a month for the latest in British Independent Cinema. We will be handpicking films that show the diversity and skill present across the industry – and inviting the filmmakers and actors themselves to join us and provide first hand personal insight into the process of making a film.

Cinelogue

Depot’s strand dedicated to screening arthouse, independent and cult films while engaging in discussion on issues surrounding film and cinema culture.

Cinemas of the Mind

A screening with post-film discussion facilitated by Dr Jake Harvey, a forensic psychiatrist, and Jenny Leeburn, a psychoanalytic psychotherapist, focusing on the psychological aspects of the film, and the emotional impact on the viewer.

Kino Collective

A group of young people dedicated to sharing an enthusiasm and knowledge of cinema through the hosting of specially selected screenings and events for young adults.

French Cinema Club

Step into the world of French cinema with our lively, post-screening discussion club! Open to everyone and led by Dr Martine Pierquin.

KnitFlicks

KnitFlicks screenings offer relaxed, sociable cinema events for crafters! Expect lighthearted movie selections chosen to create a fun atmosphere, perfect for unwinding while working on your knitting, crochet, or hand sewing project.

Everybody-Friendly Screenings

Come and enjoy a relaxed, subtitled movie experience in our spacious and accessible cinema.  Especially suitable for those with additional needs, including people living with autism, dementia, the hard of hearing and older audiences.  Carers, families and supporters are welcome too, and refreshments are provided

Book to Film Club

Depot’s Book to Film Club is a relaxed and open space to talk about books and movies. With classics, horror, and sci-fi on the shelf, there’s something for everyone to get their reading glasses on for.
