Paul Richards is responsible for running the most successful Jazz night in Brighton. Every Tuesday ‘The Brunswick Jazz Jam’ brings out seasoned music lovers to witness a wealth of local talent and international artists who perform onstage with Paul’s rotating house band.

Paul has been playing professionally for some years now. Extensive travel abroad opened his eyes and ears to the musical possibilities for live performances. Whilst playing as a classical guitarist, he honed his flamenco skills in Spain enabling him to accompany dancers using the complex flamenco rhythms. A flare for Latin music and jazz led him to focus on Latin Jazz incorporating vibrant Brazilian rhythms with the advanced harmonies and improvisations of jazz.

Amongst some of his theatre work, Paul has also worked as a guitarist in the house band for the Orange Tree Theatre company in their production of Shakespeare’s As You Like It at the 2005 Arundel Festival.

So on Sunday 16th July, from 11am, join the regulars who have been flocking to Depot, Pinwell Road, Lewes, in ever increasing numbers with their Sunday papers, assorted friends and family members and taking in the relaxed atmosphere, locally sourced menu and talented visiting musicians.
