Depot’s sustainability agenda has been recognised with a win at the Sussex Business Awards.
The CSR Excellence Award was won conferred on Depot for its outstanding achievements in corporate social responsibility.
The judges said: ‘Depot is a green business that considers the environment and their local community which shows in every aspect of their operation. It is clear that being ethical and responsible runs through the DNA of their business and they stand there as a shining example of a business that considers purpose as well as profit’.
The awards are the largest event of its kind and the most prestigious in the South East.
Around 500 of the county’s leading businesspeople gathered for the sell-out event held at The Grand Brighton on 5 December. Guests enjoyed a three-course dinner and entertainment before the awards presentation by TV comedian and author, Dominic Holland.
Mike Herd, chair of judges, said: “The gala dinner is the night of the year where the community comes together to celebrate business in Sussex. It is a fantastic evening recognising and acknowledging the outstanding work businesses in our region are doing.
“The Awards, now in their thirty-first year, attracted an excellent mix of applications from all business sizes and sectors, with the standard of applications being very high. I’d like to congratulate all the winners and shortlisted finalists of this year’s awards.”
