A whole raft of new courses have opened for booking at Depot, as the education department goes from strength to strength following on from a successful round of courses from last year.
The new batch of courses include film making for 8 to 12 year olds, 13 to 18 year olds and now due to popular demand, adults too. For those looking for something shorter, animation workshops will be run as part of the Artwave festival on Friday 23 August, led by Joe from the Catfish Collective, again for ages 8 to 12 years old and 13 to 18 years old.
Bookings for future courses are now also available, including September’s Photography short course, a ‘Game of Phones’ after school filmmaking course and Home Ed Film. Depot’s regular educational and informational film screenings continue throughout the year with the increasingly popular Voigt Film Club, led by the brilliant Michael Voigt; the monthly Book to Film Club, where a novel and its on-screen adaptation are analysed in detail; and the in-depth one day cinematic deep-dive that is Explore Film.
